1973-Today my parents have been married for 33 years. Congratulations Doodles & Marmie. You are loved.
1984-Today my husband has been alive for 22 years. We had friends, pizza, and cupcakes to celebrate. I love you.
1995-Once in 7th grade, my brother and I missed the school bus. Our parents were already at work, so we had no way to get to school. So we stayed home; a free day.
2006-I missed the bus today, but instead of walking back home and having a free day, I simply called my boss to explain and waited for the next one, which eventually came and dropped me off at work 25 minutes late. I think I'll show up to the bus stop a little earlier tomorrow morning.
| I got my first paycheck today!!
Woo hoo!
This is how it makes me feel:

| I officially survived my first week at work. It's crazy what 2 1/2 months off will do to you. I was so ready for the weekend! I do think I'm going to like my job. It's a lot of paperwork, and it can get pretty repetitive, but that doesn't bother me. Basically what I'm doing is matching up invoices and packing slips for items Keller purchased to resell, then I have to enter stuff in the computer, then I have to print off reports and check to be sure that we were charged correctly for items and that we received what we were charged for. It's a nice change from my last job. My job at Trevecca involved a little bit of desk work, but I always wished there was more. I got tired of dealing with customers all the time. I prefer work that I can do independently. It will be nice when I get my work email set up, so I can email people while I'm working. Also, I like the people I work with. They seem to be pretty nice. Another cool thing is that between the bus ride to and from work, two breaks, and a lunch break, I get over 2 hours of reading time every day! It's great to be able to read during my commute to work on the bus, and not have to worry about the traffic.
Hope everyone has a great week!
